Music: "Technicolor" by Madeon. The meaning of the name "Escher Parkour" expresses our ideology in relation to Parkour, which is really different of the classic concept of efficiency in a course. M.C Escher was a very peculiar plastic artist. His works, although are made using several techniques and conservative standards of the realistic art, portrays surreal scenes. Parkour is practiced at common and usual ambiance, like a square in the end of your street, but re-invents the vision of these places to inchoate completely new movements. We chose this name because, just like M.C Escher, Parkour utilizes the usual and common to express something different as well. The Tata Indica is nothing short of a legend in India. From being a family favorite to becoming a popular option for taxi buyers, the hatchback managed to become a flagship for the Indian automaker. However, over the years, the competition became stronger and Tata needed to replace it with a worthy successor. Enter, the Tata Tiago. Tata's new baby slides in above the Nano and rivals the likes of the Hyundai Grand i10 and Maruti Celerio. It offers a good list of features, two all-new engine options and a new-age design philosophy. We take it for a drive to see if the formula has worked. Pros of Tata Tiago: 1. Refreshing styling. Does not look like a derivative of the Indica (a la Bolt/Vista) 2. Interior build quality. A notch above the Celerio and on par with the Grand i10. 3. Peppy petrol and torquey diesel engines. Tuned just right for the city and occasional highway jaunts. 4. Impressive feature list: integrated music system, chilled glovebox, electric mirrors etc. Stand Out Features 1. 8 - speaker sound system developed by Harman. Arguably the best in the segment. 2. Clever smartphone apps developed specifically for the Tiago; Turn by Turn Navigation & Juke Car app. 3. Multi Drive Modes. Driver can switch between ECO and CITY to alter behaviour and response of the engine. Cons of Tata Tiago: 1. Rear seats lack under-thigh support. Will be uncomfortable over long journeys. 2. No automatic option. Both Celerio and Grand i10 have an automatic variant. 3. Engines sound coarse and unrefined at high revs. Watch Tata Tiago First Drive Review by CarDekho Team.
